Safeguarding
At Our Lady of The Assumption, we believe that everyone who comes through our doors should feel safe, valued, and respected. Following the example of Christ, we are committed to creating a parish community where children, young people, and vulnerable adults are protected and cared for.
Safeguarding is an essential part of our parish life. We follow the national standards set by the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency (CSSA) and the safeguarding policies of the Diocese of Brentwood. All clergy, staff, and volunteers working with children or vulnerable adults are safely recruited, trained, and supported in their safeguarding responsibilities.
If you have a concern about the safety or well-being of someone in our parish, please don’t hesitate to contact our Parish Safeguarding Representatives: Shirley Ruiz and Christine Muirden via the parish phone number 020 8500 3953 or via the parish safeguarding email safeguarding-hainault@brcdt.org.
Our Diocesan Safeguarding Coordinator, Simon Moules, can be contacted on 01277 265234 or via email on simonmoules@brcdt.org.
Together, we can ensure that our parish remains a place of welcome, care, and protection for all.
