Welcome to our Parish
Our parish covers a geographically large and diverse area, stretching from the post-war estate of Hainault towards the M25 and M11. Situated on the edge of Greater London, it embraces both built-up neighbourhoods and communities reaching into the Essex countryside.
The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Hainault, was built in the early 1950s and has been at the heart of the local Catholic community for more than seventy years. Through generations of change, it has remained a place of prayer, worship and welcome, where people come together to celebrate their faith and share in the life of the Church.
This website is intended to be a point of contact and a useful source of information for our parishioners, visitors, and all those who are new to the parish. Whether you have been part of our community for many years or are visiting us for the first time, you are very warmly welcome.
I hope you will find these pages helpful and that, above all, you will find in Our Lady of the Assumption a welcoming community and a spiritual home.
