Seventh Sunday of Easter – 01st June 2025

Today, we are called to reflect on the prayer of our Savior Jesus Christ, which offers us a true lesson about what it means to be a community of faith and the role our unity plays in the world’s testimony.

In this holy prayer, Jesus does not pray only for His disciples of that time, but also for all who will believe through their word. This is a universal calling that includes each one of us today. It is we who, through our faith, must continue His work and be His living testimony in the world.

Jesus asks for something essential: unity. “That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us.” This is a unity that springs from the close relationship of Jesus with the Father, a profound unity of love and communion.

This unity is not merely an external form but a deep life in Christ, a union of hearts in faith, love, and service. When we, who follow Christ, are united, our light shines brightly in the darkness of the world. And this light of our unity becomes a living sign for others: “that the world may believe that You have sent Me.”
